At the age of 30–45, many people begin to feel that their current profession no longer brings satisfaction. However, the idea of changing careers often causes anxiety: "It's too late," "Where would I even go?", "What if I lose everything?" In reality, this is not a midlife crisis but a natural stage of reassessment, when accumulated experience meets the desire to live differently.
Research in career transition psychology (Journal of Vocational Behavior, Career Development International, 2023–2026) shows that people who consciously change their professional path during this stage of life often experience increased life satisfaction, even if their income temporarily decreases at the beginning.
The main barrier is rarely a lack of skills. Instead, it is internal stress, fear of the unknown, and the pressure of thinking "I should have already figured everything out."
Our webinar series offers a calm and supportive environment where we explore why career change in adulthood feels so intimidating, what psychological mechanisms are involved, and how this transition can be approached without drama, panic, or the feeling that "everything is falling apart."
There will be no advice like "quit everything and go into IT," no career aptitude tests, and no promises of "a new life in three months." Instead, we focus on self-understanding and practical steps that genuinely help.
The invited expert is a specialist in career transition psychology, adult self-determination, and stress management during professional change.
They participate in educational and research initiatives focused on the emotional aspects of professional reorientation and maintaining psychological stability during life transitions.
The webinar is provided for educational purposes only. The invited expert participates as a guest contributor.
